[{"type":"text","content":"\n TomCo Energy PLC\n01 April 2008\n\n\nThe following replaces the Preliminary Results announcement released at 08:00 \nyesterday under RNS number 1121R.\n\nThe full amended release appears below.\n\n\n TOMCO ENERGY PLC\n ('TomCo' or 'the Company')\n \n PRELIMINARY RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2007\n \nTomCo (TOM.L), the oil mining and production company, today announces its \nPreliminary Results for the year ended 30 September 2007.\n\nHIGHLIGHTS\n\n • Successful launch of TomCo Energy Plc on AIM following completion of the\n acquisition of The Oil Mining Company Inc in January 2007 which owns oil\n shale leases covering 2,918 acres in Utah, estimated by SRK Consulting\n ('SRK') to contain some 230 million barrels of oil\n\n • Raised £1.77 million in new equity for investment in conventional oil\n assets\n\n • During the year, acquired interest in seven drilling participations and\n acquired rights to participate in 17 new drilling prospects in US\n\n • Gross production averaging 11.46 barrels per day from PDP's\n\n\nStephen Komlosy, Chairman of TomCo, commented:\n\n'The period under review covers a period during which the Company has been\ntransformed: the Board's strategy, that of holding the oil shale assets until\ncommercial production is economical, whilst pursuing exposure to conventional,\nlow cost oil & gas production, is being fulfilled.
