Netcentric Systems PLC 7 August 2001 NETCENTRIC SYSTEMS PLC 7 AUGUST 2001 Netcentric Systems Plc ('Netcentric Systems' or 'the Company') Further to its announcement on 24th July, Netcentric Systems announces that, due to difficult market conditions, it will not be pursuing funding via a Placing and Open Offer. Alternative sources of funding are being considered as the directors assess the future prospects for the Company and its ability to continue trading in its present form beyond the short term. Substantial reductions are being made to Netcentric System's cost base and shareholders will receive a further update as to the Company's financial position within the next ten days.
