The project, which took place from 2023 – 2024, utilized RCC’s Type IT cement in the concrete mix, which provides a carbon impact reduction of more than 20% from ordinary portland cement.","length":803,"tagName":"p"},{"type":"text","content":"The Norfapeake marine terminal in Chesapeake was recently enhanced with a cement storage dome capable of housing approximately 70,000 tonnes of cement, as well as increased trucking and rail capacity to meet the demand for its low-carbon cements. TVRM and RCC used this major investment as an opportunity to prove out the latest cement technology at scale and under harsh conditions.
