[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - Tinka Resources Limited (the \"Company\") (TSXv\n- TK; Frankfurt - TLD; Pinksheets -TKRFF).\n\n\nMr. Andrew Carter, President & CEO, is pleased to announce further\nresults of surface channel samples taken from the Company's 100% owned 2,079\nhectare Colquipucro property located within the richly mineralized Zn-Pb-Ag\nbelt of central Peru.\n\n\nNumerous east-west trending and steeply northerly dipping fault/breccia\nzones crosscut the hillside at fairly regular intervals along its length. The\nhost rock is a banded sandstone unit of the Chimu Formation which has been\nextensively fractured between the adjacent fault zones, resulting in a series\nof parallel, closely-spaced fractures resembling a stockwork texture. It\nappears that the mineralizing event that produced the high grade silver\nmineralization along the fault zones also produced mineralization over large\nwidths in the intervening host rock. Anomalous lead and zinc values occur with\nthe high grade silver. These faults and fractures are filled with limonites\nderived from sulphides and no associated vein material, like quartz,\ncarbonates or barite, are observed. Surface workings along these faults have\nbeen traced over approximately a 500m in strike length by at least 300m\nnorth-south.\n\n\nA total of five channels using a diamond saw to cut channels in the\nbedrock, have now been completed over a 400 m strike length of the east-west\ntrending structures.
