About this update from Tinka Resources Limited

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - Tinka Resources Limited (the \"Company\") (TSXv\n- TK; Frankfurt - TLD; Pinksheets - TKRFF).\n\n\nMr. Andrew Carter, President & CEO, announces that an error was found on\nthe Company's press release of today's date issued earlier this morning.\nResults from the 80 to 90 metre section of channel No. 2 remain 10 m at\n117 g/t Ag however it includes 1m averaging 763 g/t Ag and not 5m as\npreviously stated.\n\n\nNumerous east-west trending and steeply northerly dipping fault/breccia\nzones crosscut the hillside at fairly regular intervals along its length. The\nhost rock is a banded sandstone unit of the Chimu Formation which has been\nextensively fractured between the adjacent fault zones, resulting in a series\nof parallel, closely-spaced fractures resembling a stockwork texture. It\nappears that the mineralizing event that produced the high grade silver\nmineralization along the fault zones also produced mineralization over large\nwidths in the intervening host rock. Anomalous lead and zinc values occur with\nthe high grade silver. These faults and fractures are filled with limonites\nderived from sulphides and no associated vein material, like quartz,\ncarbonates or barite, are observed. Surface workings along these faults have\nbeen traced over approximately a 500m in strike length by at least 300m\nnorth-south.\n\n\nA total of five channels using a diamond saw to cut channels in the\nbedrock, have now been completed over a 400 m strike length of the east-west\ntrending structures. The results of channel No. 1 (the westernmost one, and\ndirectly above the 3870 level adit) were announced in the press release dated\nNovember 21, 2006, which included 17m averaging 88 g/t Ag.\n\n\nSamples were taken at regular 5m intervals except where high grade zones\nwere interpreted to exist along pre-existing workings or fault structures.\nSummaries of the most significant intervals using, a 30 g/t Ag cut-off, are\nshown below.\n\n\nChannel No. 2 (332700E)\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n From (m) To (m) Width (m) Average Ag (g/t)\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n 20 32.1 12.1 38\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n including 2.1 105\n-------------------------------------------...
