Trillium Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Toronto, Ontario CANADA, August 27, 2012 /FSC/ - Trillium North Minerals Ltd. (TNM - TSX Venture),(the "Company") announces further to its News Release dated August 14, 2012 that Roland Russell Martel, a current director of the Company, has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective August 15, 2012.  Mr. Martel takes the place of Ken Crosby, who resigned as a director and officer of the Company.  

For clarification, the Company's directors and officers are now comprised as follows:
