(TNM - TSX Venture),is pleased to announce initial results from the first of a five hole drill program (see Trillium NR June 13, 2011) on its wholly-owned West Porcupine Gold property 40 km. southwest of downtown Timmins. Historically the 1994 drill program intersected a high grade 43.44 grams gold/tonne over 1.5m within a wider zone of gold mineralization in hole 94-18, which we have named the \"Discovery Zone\". A second intercept was also encountered in the 94-18 hole of 6.65 grams gold /tonne over 2m, which we call the Lava Zone, located approximately 25m to the north of the Discovery Zone. The first hole of the 2011 campaign (DF11-1) has intersected these same two zones at a depth of 12m below the 6.65 gram section, and 25m and below the 43.44 gram intersection respectively.Another historic hole from 1995, hole 95-23, 110m beneath hole 94-18 intersected 20.4 g/1.8m (0.6 oz gold /6 ft.) within the same host rock as the Discovery Zone. It is not known at this time whether the 95-23 hole also hit the Lava zone or not, but as there is a strong possibility it was present but not recognized, the Company is actively attempting to recover all old core from this project for review.
