(TNM - TSX Venture)(\"Trillium\") announced today the final results from its West Porcupine Gold Property, 40 km. southwest of downtown Timmins, along the Destor Porcupine Fault. A total of five drill holes (1812 metres) were completed to trace the dip and plunge of a gold-bearing zone discovered by Hemlo Gold Mines (see Trillium NR June 13, 2011).\nTwo holes DF11-01 and 11-02 were drilled in section with previous holes DF 94-18 and 95-23 on line 5500E and two holes, DF11-03 and 11-04 were drilled to the east in a parallel section, with the remaining hole DF 11-05 drilled to the west of section 5500E. Visual observations of the geology and alteration patterns in the core, suggest the original discovery is a combination of silicified porphyry and carbonate-sericite-albitized basalt, containing local silicification (quartz veinlets) and disseminated pyrite. The gold mineralization is directly associated with this style of alteration. In hole DF11-01 a distinct lava flow top appears as one host (\"Lava Zone\") and a silicified section is the other zone (\"Discovery Zone\") (see Trillium NR June 23, 2011). The overall setting is similar to several mines in the Porcupine Camp, as well as in the Harker-Holloway and Larder Lake areas.\nAssay patterns suggest a shallow west plunge to the mineralization.  This also fits with the larger west-facing fold structure on the property, creating a mirror image, geologically, of the Porcupine Gold Camp to the northeast.
