The contract award, which represents the culmination of an extended customer trial and the selection of the Group's technology as a strategic solution for the protection of a very high-profile border, is valued at approximately £1.0 million and will be fulfilled principally this financial year. It is expected to lead to significant follow-on sales over the next few years. It also provides an excellent reference sale for other significant border protection opportunities, which the Group is actively pursuing.\n \nThe Group has also secured a small initial contract award for its UGS solution into a defence customer in Australasia. This initial contract award will be fulfilled this financial year and is expected to lead to further sales with the customer organisation.\n \n \nTom Black, Executive Chairman of Digital Barriers commented:\n \n\"The selection of our technology for the protection of a very high-profile border by a major overseas government is a seminal moment for the Group. This solution integrates technology and capabilities from four of our acquisitions, and provides a unique offering which is now generating significant interest from flagship customers around the world. We now have active engagement and ongoing trials with many of these high-profile customers, and we have seen initial contract awards in several different countries. In July we announced a significant follow-on UK award for this solution, clearly demonstrating that the technology is operationally effective, and providing an exceptional reference for international customers. Digital Barriers now has a tremendous opportunity to market this technology around the world.\"\n \n \...
