[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 4302C Thor Mining PLC 16 April 2013 \n\n16 April 2013\nTHOR MINING PLC\n \nFOLLOW UP SOIL GEOCHEMISTRY AT WA DUNDAS GOLD PROJECT INDICATES ENCOURAGING NICKEL/COPPER TRENDS\n \nThe Directors of Thor Mining PLC (\"Thor\") (AIM, ASX: THR) are pleased to announce follow up results showing nickel and copper indicators at the Dundas gold project in southeast Western Australia. The results are from infill surface soil geochemistry (XRF) in the north eastern part of the tenement holding.\n \nNickel Exploration\n \nInfill grid soil XRF analysis has commenced in the north eastern area of exploration tenement, E63/1102 (THR 60%) where the geology comprises Fraser Complex mafics and ultramafics which host significant recent nickel discoveries.\n \n \n Click on, or paste the following link into your web browser, to view the associated PDF document.\n \n http://www.rns-pdf.londonstockexchange.com/rns/4302C_1-2013-4-16.pdf\n \n \nFigure 3: Nickel XRF geochemistry results over aeromagnetic (TMI) background.\n \nResults of the additional soil sampling indicate three areas of elevated nickel (Figure 3) which are broadly coincident with elevated copper. Coincident elevated nickel and copper geochemistry is characteristic of the Nova discovery 70 km to the north of the Thor gold tenements. \n \nCompletion of the soil geochemistry program is planned to occur over the next two months.\n \nCommenting, Mr Mick Billing, Executive Chairman of Thor Mining, said: \n \n\"This is an encouraging start in assessing the nickel prospectivity of the Dundas project. A number of the results are clearly anomalous, and the spacing between the sample collection points is broad. We will be following up with an infill program to determine the potential for nickel focussed drill targets.\"\n \nAbout the Dundas Project\n \nThor's Dundas project is situated in Western Australia within the Albany-Fraser Province.
