(OTCQB: OBMP) (\"OncBioMune\" or the \"Company\"), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of novel cancer products and a proprietary vaccine technology, today announces that the Company has received a Notification on Grant of Patent Right for Invention No. 201080005114.4 from China's State Intellectual Property Office. The patent covers ProscaVax, OncBioMune's novel cancer vaccine currently in a Phase 1 trial for relapsed prostate cancer patients with bio chemical recurrence. The patent, titled \"Composition and Method for Treating Cancer,\" expands the scope of protection of OncBioMune's intellectual property, which now includes 15 patents and patents pending covering approximately 50 countries worldwide for the Company's vaccine technologies.ProscaVax is a novel protein therapeutic cancer vaccine combining tumor-associated antigen PSA with biological adjuvants to selectively target tumor cells without damaging healthy cells. OncBioMune is in the process of enrolling and treating the final four patients in a Department of Defense-funded Phase 1a trial of ProscaVax in late-stage cancer patients hosted at the University of California San Diego Moores Cancer Center and Veterans Hospital in La Jolla, California. As recently disclosed, OncBioMune is using the data from the Phase 1a trial, that shows very minimal toxicity of ProscaVax, to forego the Phase 1b portion of the ongoing trial and to initiate two Phase 2 clinical trials of ProscaVax in 2016. One study is planned to be hosted at a major university in the Northeast United States and will enroll early-stage cancer patients in the \"active surveillance\" population.
