("TransForce") (TSX:\nTFI - T), the leader in the Canadian transportation and logistics industry,\ntoday announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Retail\nSolutions Division of ATS Andlauer Transportation Services Limited Partnership\n(ATS). The Healthcare Division of ATS will continue under its current\nownership, as part of the Andlauer Management Group Inc.\n\n\n"This transaction demonstrates TransForce's strategy of growth through\nselectively acquiring leading companies with strong leadership," said Alain\nBedard, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of TransForce. "ATS\nRetail Solutions is an excellent strategic fit with our existing Canpar and\nICS Courier businesses. Consistent with our approach to acquisitions, it will\noperate as an autonomous business and ATS President and CEO Michael Andlauer\nwill continue to play a leadership role as Chair of a group specifically\nfocused on courier solutions. We look forward to working with Michael and his\nteam."\n\n\nThe acquired Division generates approximately $120 million in annual\nrevenues. It relies on 165 owner operators for the bulk of its business and\nemploys a total of 447 employees.
