[{"type":"text","content":"\n Core Business PLC (The)\n15 June 2006\n\n\n\nPRESS RELEASE\nFor immediate release: 15 June, 2006\n\n Trading Update\n\nThe Core Business ('the Company'), the innovative beauty brand building\nbusiness, has won five new consultancy projects, including a contract with a\nmajor blue chip retailer, and launched a new sun care brand since its shares\nwere admitted for trading on AIM in March 2006.\n\nThe Company is making rapid progress to implement its strategy to capitalise on\nbrand building opportunities in the personal care and beauty sectors with a\ntotal of 29 new business presentations made since January 2006, compared to 12\npresentations over the whole of 2005. Of the presentations this year, five have\ngenerated new consultancy projects with a further 18 having created\nopportunities which are at various stages of discussion.\n\nThe new sun care brand, Blockhead, in which the Company has an interest through\nits 12.5% shareholding in Blockhead Brands Limited, and which launched just this\nyear, has become the best selling sun care brand on the retail website\nwww.mankind.co.uk. The brand is also now on sale through BAA outlets at both\nHeathrow and Gatwick airports.\n\nWith the growth in the Company's activities, The Core Business has needed to\nexpand the team with the appointment of a Marketing Assistant.\n\nThe Core Business Chief Executive Stirling Murray said:\n\n'The last three months have been very encouraging for The Core Business. When we\nlisted on AIM, we stated that the additional funds raised would allow The Core\nBusiness to establish an infrastructure to identify and capitalise upon brand\nbuilding opportunities within the personal care and beauty sectors.
