[{"type":"text","content":"Corrosion Resistance is an Important Factor When Choosing a Refrigerant Because Corrosion Causes Refrigerant Leaks - the Number One Mechanical Problem in the HVAC & R Industry WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 13, 2017 / Alltemp, Inc. (OTCQB: LTMP), a developer of proprietary, environmentally friendly refrigerant technologies, announced today the results of a corrosion study, comparing the efficacy of alltemp® refrigerant vs R-134a refrigerant. The company engaged Intertek to perform ANSI/ASHRAE 97 testing on alltemp®.Intertek's evaluation of alltemp® refrigerant with POE NL32 POE lubricant was conducted per ANSI/ASHRAE 97 Issue: 2007/06/27 Sealed Glass Tube Method to Test the Chemical Stability of Material for Use within Refrigerant Systems.Metal coupons were exposed to alltemp® for 14 days at 175°C +/-5°C. Property evaluations were conducted by the following procedures: TAN per ASTM D974, Refrigerant Breakdown per AHRI 700, and Dissolved Metals per ASTM D5185. Observations After 14 Days:When compared to a control sample of R-134a, the alltemp® refrigerant was observed as: \"Clear/colorless liquid, no precipitate or insoluble material. All metal coupons remain unchanged. No Copper Plating or corrosion was observed.\"Intertek conducted a full ANSI/ASHRAE 97 test indicating that there were almost zero changes in the chemical properties of alltemp®. Test results indicated that alltemp®'s Total Acid Number (mgKOH/g) was <0.01, Refrigerant Decomposition (Mass%) <0.05, Dissolved Al <1.0, Dissolved Cu <1.0, and Dissolved Fe <1.0. These results continue to prove that alltemp® is a non-corrosive alternative to conventional refrigerants.\"The study reflects our commitment to producing the best refrigerant, in economic and environmental terms, and the data becomes increasingly valuable in yielding actionable insights for a wide variety of refrigerant dependent businesses. We're firm in our belief that alltemp®'s resistance to corrosion is a major value driver, because refrigerant leaks, caused by corrosion, are the most pressing mechanical problem in the HVAC & R industry. Frankly, reducing corrosion not only improves economic and environmental performance, but, possibly most important to most users, it should improve quality control and overall user ...
