'TOAD IN A JAMJAR'
Affinity link with new Direct Line website
TOAD plc's recently launched e-commerce web-site, toade.com, will provide its
full range of car audio, security and multi-media products for sale, from today,
through jamjar.com - the new motoring internet site from Direct Line.
A six month affinity partnership with Direct Line has been signed by TOAD,
making it an important part of the on-line motoring shop. Jamjar.com provides
motorists with 24-hour access to virtually 100% of the range of new UK-supplied
cars at prices that are thousands of pounds lower than manufacturer's list
prices. Jamjar.com also sells used cars and imports, offers a guaranteed on-line
part exchange for used cars, and provides on-line route planning, car finance
and insurance.

Direct Line chose toade.com to supply its full range of in-car technology
products, including three of the UK's leading car security brands, all the
major car audio brands and TOAD's new range M3 navigation and in-car video
systems.
The jamjar site, which was officially launched today, will have a marketing
spend of £15 million in its first year. Direct Line's jamjar.com aims to become
the UK's leading motoring site in a market where an estimated 15% of car sales
will come from the Internet by 2005.
