[{"type":"text","content":"\n TG21 Plc\n23 May 2006\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTG21 plc ('the Company') announces agreement with Biodata Limited\n\n\nFor release: 23 May 2006\n\n\nTG21 plc today announces that its subsidiary 21st Century Crime Prevention\nServices Limited ('21st Century') has today signed an agreement with Biodata\nLimited ('Biodata') for the exclusive rights to Biodata's people counting system\nwhen interfaced with public transport vehicle systems.\n\n\n21st Century is a leading provider of on-board CCTV to the UK bus market and is\nalso developing several new products for the public transport market. The first\ntwo of these, Revenue-Manager(TM) and Eco-Manager(TM), are aimed at enhancing\nrevenue and reducing running costs for bus operators. The Biodata system known\nas 'Video Turnstile' uses their technology in conjunction with overhead CCTV to\ncount passengers entering and leaving a vehicle. The Video Turnstile will be\ninterfaced with fare revenue data from the ticketing machines and automatically\ntransmit an audit report back to the control centre as each bus returns to its\ndepot. Biodata are also developing an interface to the Eco-Manager product which\nis aimed at reducing fuel and maintenance costs for bus operators by monitoring\nand reporting on driver behaviour. A major public transport company has already\nagreed to run trials with 21st Century for both Revenue-Manager and Eco-Manager\non 54 of its buses.\n\n\nPeter Ward, Chairman of TG21 plc, commented:\n\n'We are delighted to announce the deal with Biodata for the exclusive rights to\nits people counting system when interfaced with public transport vehicle\nsystems. The product range soon\ndeveloped to provide solutions for data acquisition and control problems and\nthey were one of the first measurement companies to achieve ISO 9001 (EN29001)\ncertification.
