(TSX: TCS), an\nindustry-leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) software company announced\ntoday that Wagner Equipment Co., a major Caterpillar(R) dealer based in\nDenver, Colorado, has selected TECSYS' EliteSeries(TM) Warehouse Management\nSystem for IBM iSeries(R) to manage its growing logistics operations of 31\nfacilities including distribution centres and outlets in three States.\n\n\nWith over 1300 people, Wagner is one of the largest Caterpillar dealers\nand the exclusive provider of Caterpillar products and services in Colorado,\nNew Mexico and far-west Texas. The company needed to move away from its\nlabour-intensive logistics operations and to acquire a warehouse management\nsystem compatible with the Caterpillar dealer environment. As importantly, it\nneeded a system that provides clear visibility across the enterprise and\nsupports, in real-time, its vital customer services operations.\n\n\n\"We initially looked at another piece of software in the CAT\nenvironment\", commented Brien Borden, Parts Systems and Logistics Manager at\nWagner Equipment. \"We quickly realized that it does not have the same level of\ncapabilities as those of TECSYS. It also lacked major warehouse management\nfunctionality such as multi-warehouse and product traceability.\"\n\n\nWagner's decision was partially based on two referrals, the first from\nMilton CAT: TECSYS' latest implementation in the Caterpillar dealer\nenvironment, and the second from the largest Caterpillar dealer in the world\nbased in Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to these referrals, Wagner was\nconvinced by TECSYS' abilities that included its:\n\n\n1. Expertise in distribution and specific experience in Caterpillar\n dealer's operations\n2. Know-how to plug-in the IBM iSeries legacy system\n3. Proven product in the Caterpillar dealer environment\n4.
