[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, June 13 /CNW/ - Teck Cominco Limited (TSX: TEK.A and TEK.B)\nand Fording Canadian Coal Trust (TSX: FDG.UN, NYSE: FDG) today received\nnotification from Elk Valley Coal that the collective agreement with Local\n9346 of the United Steelworkers of America at its Elkview Operations in\nsoutheast British Columbia has been ratified by the members. The five-year\nagreement covers the period from November 1, 2005 to October 31, 2010. The\nElkview Operations have an annual production capacity of approximately\n6 million tonnes of coal.\nWith the settlement of this agreement, all four of Elk Valley Coal's\nunionized mines located in southeast British Columbia are now covered under\nlong term labour contracts.\n\nTeck Cominco is a diversified mining company, headquartered in Vancouver,\nCanada.
