Upon the publication of this announcement, this inside information is now considered to be in the public domain. \n \n26 July 2023\n \nTechnology Minerals Plc \n \n(\"Technology Minerals\" or the \"Company\") \n \nRecyclus receives patent pending status for new lead paste desulphurisation process\n \nTechnology Minerals Plc (LSE: TM1), the first listed UK company focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for battery metals, is pleased to announce its 48.25% owned battery recycling business, Recyclus Group Ltd (\"Recyclus\"), has received patent pending status from the European Patent Office (\"EPO\") for its lead paste desulphurisation process which has been developed from its recycling facility in Tipton, West Midlands.\n \nThe receipt of the International Patent Application from the EPO is a significant step for Recyclus in the patent processing of its lead paste desulphurisation process, with the next stage being the receipt of the International Search Report.\n \nRecyclus has developed an innovative process which significantly reduces the sulphur content in the recycled lead paste, resulting in the production of what is termed 'alpha' paste, which when smelted, produces lower levels of hazardous sulphur oxide (SOx) and in turn requires lower levels of energy through the smelting process, reducing smelting costs.
