[{"type":"text","content":"\n Bright Things plc\n08 September 2006\n\n\n\nBRIGHT THINGS PLC\n('Bright Things' or 'the Group')\n\n\nBright Things Signs First Hardware Licensing Agreement\n\n\n8 September 2006\n\n\nBright Things (BGT.L) today announced it has signed a worldwide licensing\nagreement with Radica Games Limited (NASDAQ: RADA) for its ASIC chips\nincorporating the patented 'Bubble Platform' technology which provides highly\ninteractive experiences from a standard DVD player. Bright Things has received\na licence fee for the software development kit and an up front payment against\nan initial order quantity of ASIC chips to be shipped in early 2007. As this\norder is for an initial build of a new product scheduled for release in 2007, it\nis not possible to gauge additional orders for the chip at this time.\n\n\nThe agreement is the first licensing arrangement the Group has entered into for\nthe technology and is part of a continued effort to roll-out the technology to\npartners looking to produce highly interactive DVD based products.\n\n\nFurther to our preliminary announcement in June, the development of our first\nstandalone Interactive DVD Game 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Action Adventure'\nis progressing well and in accordance with expectations. Bright Things has\nsecured distribution for the product into various territories worldwide for\nrelease into the key Christmas selling period.\n\n\nDominic Wheatley, CEO of Bright Things, said:\n\n\n'Bright Things is very pleased that Radica Games will be a developing a new\nproduct line that incorporates our ASIC chip and delivering interactive software\nthat will showcase our patented technology. Furthermore I am pleased with the\ndevelopment of our Interactive DVD Game Tomb Raider which is creating good\ninterest. This is the first of a planned range of Interactive DVD games for\n2007.
