The Tsi576 expands the Company's high-performance RapidIO switch\nportfolio targeted for a wide variety of DSP-based applications such as\nwireless base stations, media gateways, video infrastructure and image\nprocessing.\nThe Tsi576 delivers designers of RapidIO embedded systems using DSPs, a\nseamless solution for board-level aggregation to backplane connections.\n>\n\"The price and performance per port on our new Tsi576 switch is optimized\nfor DSP clusters with serial RapidIO ports. This switch is the optimal choice\nto aggregate board level traffic to the backplane,\" said Rick O'Connor, chief\ntechnology officer at Tundra Semiconductor. \"Our broad portfolio of high-\nperformance serial RapidIO products provides customers with a wide selection\nof features and configurability to meet their specific design needs.\"\n\nHighly Scalable, Low Port Count Serial RapidIO Switch\n\nBased on the most recent release of the Serial RapidIO Specification\nv1.3, the Tsi576 Serial RapidIO Switch sets industry benchmarks for high-\nperformance and low power consumption already established by the Tsi574(TM)\nand Tsi578(TM). Ideally suited for local DSP and processor aggregation to\nbackplanes, the Tsi576 targets applications such as wireless baseband line\ncards, media gateways and video head end equipment, where data from large\nclusters of DSPs are aggregated and routed on larger bandwidth ports to switch\ncards in the backplane. The Tsi576 continues to support all other features in\nthe Tsi57x family including the ability to route packets to over 64,000\nendpoints, independent unicast and multicast routing mechanisms, and error\nmanagement extensions that provide proactive issue notification to the fabric\ncontroller.\nThe Tsi576 switch interconnects Serial RapidIO-enabled microprocessors,\nDSPs, FPGAs, and peripheral devices, supporting an aggregate bandwidth of 40\nGbits/s. Designers can take advantage of configuration options to efficiently\nm...
