When availability and performance\nare critical, RapidIO is the serial interconnect of choice for embedded\nsystems.\"\n\n\nTundra presented the compelling benefits of adding RapidIO serial\ninterconnect to VME-based designs, concluding that RapidIO increases system\nperformance for critical embedded systems by offering a low latency, high\nbandwidth connection for multiple processors and seamless support for globally\nshared memory.
