Taranis Starts Drilling at Thor Project

("Taranis") (TSX.V:\nTRO) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced with two diamond drill\nrigs on its Thor Property located southeast of Revelstoke, British Columbia.\n\n\nThor Property\n\n\nTaranis owns a 100% interest in 27 Crown Grant Mineral Claims (273\nhectares) which host the Thor volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit, and also\nowns 100% a number of Mineral Tenures (1,023 hectares) around the Thor\nproperty that is prospective for mineral deposits, as well as for potential\nexploitation activities.\n\n\n2008 Drilling and Exploration Program\n\n\nTaranis has engaged Atlas Diamond Drilling Limited to conduct a 10,000 m\nNQ-size diamond drilling program at the Thor Property, and Acme Analytical\nLaboratories Ltd. to complete analytical work on the drill core. The company\nwill also undertake geological mapping of the property with particular\nemphasis to understanding the structure and alteration associated with the\nsilver, lead, zinc, copper, gold Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide ("VMS")\ndeposit.\n\n\nPresident and CEO John Gardiner states "our 2008 drilling activities are\nfocused in several key areas on the property outside of the True Fissure Zone,\nand are designed to comply with 43-101 standards for Resource classification,\nas well as testing a number of exploration targets outside of the known areas\nof mineralization that could significantly increase the prospective size of\nThor.
