[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 1506U Tanfield Group PLC 19 June 2009 \n \n19 June 2009\n\nTanfield Group plc \n('Tanfield' or the 'Company')\n\nBoard changes\n\nTanfield is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Wooding OBE as an independent non-executive Director.\n\nA qualified engineer, Mr Wooding (63) has had a distinguished career in marketing, corporate management and strategic development of the aerospace, defence and transport engineering sectors.\n\nFollowing his role as Group Director of Public Affairs, Mr Wooding was appointed Group Regional Marketing Director of BAE Systems from 1996 to November 2000, with responsibility to the CEO for all group sales and marketing activities. He stepped down from the senior management board at BAE Systems in 2000 to establish his own consultancy, advising major corporations on business development, marketing and corporate change programmes.\n\nHe was appointed an OBE for Aviation Services in the Export Market in 1999.\n\nMr Wooding will replace Colin Billiet who has decided to step down as a Director today in order to allow him to focus on developing his new technology start-up business, Nano-porous solutions Ltd.\n\nRoy Stanley, Chairman of Tanfield, said:\n\n'We are delighted Jerry is joining the Board of Directors. He has a wealth of outside experience, bringing a fresh eye and a more international perspective to our business. We also thank Colin for his valuable contribution over the past two years and wish him well in his new business venture.'\n\nJeremy Michael Wooding is currently a Director of Arnold Schools Limited, the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools, United Church Schools' Trust and Simkat Consultants Limited. Past Directorships include: Arnold Kindergartens Limited, Simkat Limited (members' voluntary liquidation - no shortfall to creditors), Diagnosys Limited (in administration) and Petra Software Limited.
