[{"type":"text","content":"\n Ovoca Gold PLC\n01 December 2006\n\n\n Ovoca announces New Chief Executive Officer\n\n\nOvoca Gold Plc (AIM: OVG; IEX: OVX) is pleased to announce the Appointment of Mr\n Leonid Skoptsov as Chief Executive Officer.\n\n\nOvoca Gold plc, the Russian focused precious metals developer announces the\nappointment of Mr. Leonid Pavlovich Skoptsov (aged 52) as Chief Executive\nOfficer, in line with the company's goal to intensify it focus on developing\ncore assets in Russia. Mr. Skoptsov, who is currently a non-executive director\nof the company, takes over from Dr. Barrie Oakes with immediate effect. Dr.\nOakes remains on the Board as a non-executive director. In thanking Barrie\nOakes for his contribution to the growth of Ovoca Gold, the Chairman, Roger\nTurner, said 'Barrie has guided Ovoca Gold through its formative years, helping\nto identify the company's projects in Russia and laying the foundations for the\ncompany as we see it today.
