He used it to\nshoot over a hundred movies including Rocky,\nThe Shining, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Philadelphia, and Return of The Jedi. He has worked with\nsuch directors as Woody Allen, Hal Ashby, John Alvidsen, Warren Beatty,\nJonathan Demme, Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick, Mike Nichols, Frank Oz, John\nSchlesinger, Martin Scorcese and Steven Spielberg.\n\nMr. Brown was the recipient of Oscar\nfor Scientific and Technical Achievement from the Academy of Motion Picture\nArts and Sciences and an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television\nArts and Sciences for his invention of the Steadicam. \n\nHe holds 50 patents worldwide for\ncamera devices including: Steadicam Merlin, a miniature version for camcorders;\nSkycam, the robot camera that flies on wires over sporting events; Mobycam, the\nunderwater camera that chases the swimmers at the Olympics; the Emmy-award-winning Divecam and the ultra-light aerial film camera\ncalled SuperFlyCam.
