[{"type":"text","content":"\n BrainJuicer Group PLC\n20 September 2007\n\n\nPress Release 20 September 2007\n\n\n BrainJuicer Group PLC\n ('BrainJuicer' or 'the Company')\n\n Winner of Best Methodology at ESOMAR\n\n\nBrainJuicer Group PLC, (AIM: BJU), a leading international online market\nresearch agency, today announces that it has been awarded the prize for Best\nMethodology paper at this year's annual ESOMAR Congress for the Company's new\nFaceTraceTM product.\n\nFaceTraceTM was launched earlier in 2007, and is currently being used by a\nnumber of BrainJuicer's blue chip clients, including Unilever, Shell, Pepsi, and\nProcter & Gamble. This product offers a new method of measuring emotional\nengagement, based on Ekman's research into the way emotions are conveyed and\nunderstood via the face. Panellists are shown photographs of faces illustrating\nvarious emotions, and asked to select the one which best represents their\nreaction to the product that is being tested. The next stage is to ascertain the\ndegree to which the emotion is felt, and then explore the reasons behind the\nreaction. FaceTraceTM is the key tool in the Company's new advertising screening\nproduct, as well as being used in collaboration with a number of existing\nproducts; this further enhances the qualitative depth of research which\nBrainJuicer is able to offer its clients.\n\nESOMAR is the global market research association, and its annual Congress this\nyear was attended by 1,300 people. There were 170 submissions from all over the\nworld, 40 selected to be presented at the Congress, and three short listed for\nprizes in each of the three categories; Best Methodology, Best Case Study and\nBest Overall Paper. The Best Methodology award is given to the paper of most\ntechnical and innovative interest, which adds significant value to the tools\navailable to researchers.\n\nBrainJuicer won the Best Methodology Paper prize in 2005 for the Company's\nproduct Predictive Markets; this award today makes BrainJuicer the only agency\nto win twice in over 20 years.\n\nJohn Kearon, CEO of BrainJuicer, commented: 'We are delighted that this new and\ninnovative product has been recognised by the industry.
