[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7495L System C Healthcare plc 12 May 2010 \n \n\nSystem C Healthcare plc\n(\"System C\" or the \"Company\")\n \n \n \nNew procurement win\n \n \nSystem C is pleased to announce that it has been selected to provide The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (\"RDEFT\") with the Company's Medway order communications and e-Prescribing software (\"Medway\").\n \nThe RDEFT provides acute hospital services to around 350,000 people in Exeter and Devon and specialist services such as cancer care, plastic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric care and renal services to people living in Devon, Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly, Dorset and Somerset. It has over 900 beds, 20 operating theatres, and 5 sites including Wonford, Heavitree, The Honeylands Children's Centre, the Exeter Mobility Centre and Mardon Neuro-rehabilitation Centre. \n \n \nSystem C's products are part of the company's range of integrated clinical, departmental and patient administration software. At RDEFT, Medway will be fully integrated with the Trust's key legacy clinical and administrative systems. System C has agreed to provide Medway on a seven year contract. \n \nMedway is today used in over 40 NHS Trusts. Full EPRs are deployed at a number of large acute Trusts, including Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and leading cancer specialist The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.\n \nThe Royal Devon & Exeter plans to implement an electronic patient record which incorporates the full 'Clinical 5' - the five key components identified by the Department of Health - by 2014.
