He\nis a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has\nextensive financial experience in the chemical industry, having previously been\ngroup finance director at both British Vita plc and Hickson International plc.\n\nDr Alexander (Sandy) Dobbie, 56, has a PhD in chemistry and some 30 years'\ninternational industrial experience in speciality chemicals having held senior\npositions at the Kelco division of Merck & Co Inc, Brent International plc and\nOctel Corporation. He is a founding director of Cogency, which provides\nspecialist advice on investment in the chemical sector and is chairman of\nChemical Sciences Scotland and of Evolva, a Swiss-based biotech company.\n\n\nCommenting on the appointments, Anthony Richmond-Watson, Chairman, said:\n\n'We are delighted to welcome Jez Maiden and Sandy Dobbie to the Yule Catto\nBoard.
