The project utilises the latest developments in Synectics new Synergy hybrid cloud software platform and is now supporting live operations across an extensive urban transport network that incorporates trains, tracks and stations.\n \n \n \n \n The initial implementation, which went live as scheduled on 1 January 2021, will continue to rollout over the next few months as the teams add functionality and refine the user experience. The project is part of a wider Deutsche Bahn commitment to revolutionise Berlin's rail services and deliver an outstanding passenger experience. Teams based at S-Bahn's operational headquarters are now using Synergy and its new mobile application to connect, respond, and collaborate with passengers and staff on-board trains and at stations.\n \n \n \n \n \n Synergy's new Workforce Management capability will further enhance operational efficiency and enable rapid, co-ordinated incident responses. When combined with the mobile application, S-Bahn will be able to extend bi-directional control room operations into the field, automating and managing field team task assignments in real time. \n \n \n \n \n \n Henning Oelze, Project Manager for S-Bahn commented: \"We selected Synectics as they shared our vision for the future of smart transport operations in a major European capital.
