TRADING STATEMENT
Quadrant Group plc ('Quadrant') announces that a special
purpose joint venture company, Quest Flight Training Limited
('Quest'), of which Quadrant owns 50%, has been awarded a
contract by the UK Ministry of Defence for the provision of
aircrew simulator training for the RAF's Boeing E-3D Sentry
aircraft.
Quest has been specifically set up for this programme and is
50/50 joint venture owned by Quadrant and Evans & Sutherland
Computer Corporation of Salt Lake City, USA, the world's
leading supplier of sophisticated simulation visual systems.
The Contract will run for a minimum of 25 years and is
expected to generate in excess of £60 million of revenues
over the full 30 years.
Quest has at the same time placed a £3.2 million contract
with Quadrant's subsidiary Quadrant Systems Limited to
update the RAF's current E-3D full flight simulator
including a new instructor Operating System, a new Navigator
Station with a Global Positioning System Integrated
Navigation System (GINS) and updates to the Flight and
Controls Systems. Quadrant Systems Limited will also
provide support to Quest through the life of the programme.
