SYMPHONY PLASTIC TECHNOLOGIES PLC
ISSUE OF SHARES
Symphony Plastic Technologies plc ('Symphony' or 'the Group'), the AIM listed
degradable plastics company, today announces that it has placed a total of
3,000,000 new ordinary shares ('the Placing Shares') at 30p per share with a
range of institutional investors and Directors of the Group. Michael Laurier,
Allan Blacher, Christopher Littmoden and Ian Bristow, all Directors of Symphony,
have acquired 233,332 of the Placing shares.
The placing has raised £900,000 for the Group, which will be used to meet the
Group's working capital needs as they fall due.
Application has been made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Admission is
expected to take place on 30th September 2002. The shares will rank pari passu
with the Group's existing ordinary shares.
