[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 5534V Sutton Harbour Holdings PLC 24 July 2018  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n24 July 2018\n                                                             \n \nPlanning application submitted for proposed Sugar Quay development \n \nA full planning application has been submitted to Plymouth City Council by waterfront regeneration specialist and real estate developer Sutton Harbour Holdings plc as it progresses to develop the prime Sugar Quay site fronting Plymouth's historic Sutton Harbour waterfront.\n \nSutton Harbour Holdings (SHH) plc has drawn up detailed proposals to regenerate and enhance this prominent site overlooking Sutton Harbour, which has been awaiting development for over a decade, for the benefit of Plymouth's residents and visitors.\n \nThe mixed use scheme proposes 7 to 19 stories of residential apartments built within staggered heights in a T-shape, tiered development, creating up to 170 high quality, one to three-bed apartments. A ground floor will open onto a widened walkway and new entrance to the harbourfront for improved pedestrian movement and enjoyment of Sutton Harbour, and enliven the east side of the harbour with commercial uses such as retail and restaurant units.\n \nAs part of its Vision for Sutton Harbour to regenerate the waterfront, an enhanced urban realm surrounding the new building will enable the public to better enjoy its unrivalled south west-facing position. To achieve this public realm at ground level, the scheme will include a basement car park for approximately 100 vehicles.\n \nA secondary, linked planning application proposes to add two additional floors to the Harbour Car Park multi-storey facility in Lockyers Quay, creating an additional approx. 150 spaces, to provide further public car parking facilities to support expected visitor growth in the area, as well as additional parking for residents of Sugar Quay.\n \nThe plans have been informed by direct participation in the design of the scheme by officials and officers of Plymouth Ci...
