[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTSX-V: SUI\n\nVANCOUVER, Aug. 23 /CNW/ - Superior Mining International Corporation,\nformerly \"Superior Mining Corporation\", (the \"Company\" or \"Superior\")\nannounces that the NI 43-101 compliant technical report concerning the Black\nReef referred to in the Superior news release dated June 21, 2006 is in the\nprocess of being prepared. The Company will provide a further update when the\ncompletion date of the technical report becomes known. Upon the receipt of the\ntechnical report, the Company plans to concurrently file it on SEDAR and issue\na news release detailing the resource estimate described in the report. The\nMiddelvlei JV Project is owned and operated by Pamodzi Gold, in which a\nCompany subsidiary holds a 50% interest.\nThe Company will have an additional technical report prepared, that\nconforms to NI 43-101 requirements, to evaluate and report on the drilling\ninformation derived from the Middelvlei and Ventersdorp Contact Reefs (VCR)\nundertaken earlier in the year, as reported in the Superior July 10, 2006 news\nrelease, once resource modelling has been completed and appropriate reports\nhave been prepared.\n\nMiddelvlei Operation\n--------------------\n\nThe overburden removal continues, as measured in bulk cubic metres\n(BCMs), and is detailed as follows:\n\n>\n\nConstruction of the ore handling system, which commenced 11th May 2006,\nwas impacted by the need for reinforcing of the tipping point structure. The\ncompletion of an assortment of remedial works led to the commencement of ore\ndeliveries on the 20th June 2006. The handling system to feed ore to the\nprocessing plant is now fully functional.\nBy the end of June, 3,062 dry tonnes of Black reef material with an\naverage grade of 2.25g/t Au had been removed from the Middelvlei site and\ndelivered to Harmony's Doornkop treatment plant for processing.\n\nQualified Person and Quality Control and Assurance\n\nThe information in this release has been compiled by Superior's Vice\nPresident of Exploration Duncan Greenaway B.Sc. & M.Sc.
