About this update from Superior Mining International Corporation
[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTSX-V: SUI\n\nVANCOUVER, July 10 /CNW/ - Superior Mining International Corporation,\nformerly \"Superior Mining Corporation\" , (the \"Company\" or \"Superior\") is\npleased to announce that the Company has received assay results from 16\ndiamond drill holes undertaken earlier in the year that were designed to test\nthe potential of the Middelvlei and Ventersdorp Contact Reefs (MVR and VCR\nrespectively) at its Middelvlei JV Project Area. The project is located on the\nWest Witwatersrand 6 kilometres to the southwest of Randfontein.\nThe Middelvlei JV Project is owned and operated by Pamodzi Gold, in which\nthe Company's South African subsidiary holds a 50% interest.\nWhile the primary focus of Pamodzi Gold is to mine the Black Reef at\nMiddelvlei, the exploration drilling being reported on is essentially a 'first\npass' program which will be followed by additional drilling aimed towards\nproviding a more thorough appraisal of the geological continuity of both the\nVCR and MVR horizons in the area. In all, 16 drill holes were completed for\n774.09m over a strike length of approximately 550m.\nIt should be noted that while the program overall has confirmed the\nexistence of both the VCR and MVR reefs throughout the lease area, certain\nholes have indicated that neither the VCR nor MVR had developed locally (PGMR\n7) or, as was the case of the VCR not being recognizable in the drill core\nfrom hole PGMR 6. The table below lists the results for 11 holes and the other\nholes did not intersect any significant values. There is insufficient data to\ndetermine true width at this time.\n\n>\n\nQualified Person and Quality Control and Assurance\n\nThe information in this release has been compiled by Superior's Vice\nPresident of Exploration Duncan Greenaway B.Sc. & M.Sc. Geology, M AusIMM. Mr.\nGreenaway has some 30 years of international exploration and mining experience\nand has sufficient experience relevant to the style of mineralization under\nconsideration and qualifies as a Qualified Person as defined in terms of NI\n43-101\nAll drilling was by BQ diamond core drilling and samples for assay were\nhalf-core, cut by diamond rock saw. Sample analysis was carried out by\nPerformance Laboratories (Pty) Ltd. Gold was determined by 50 g fire assay\nwith a detection limit of 0.02g/t . Every 15th sample comprised of alternatin...
