[{"type":"text","content":"\n Sunrise Diamonds PLC\n30 November 2006\n\n\n www.sunrisediamonds.com\n\n\n30 November 2006\n\n MICRO-DIAMONDS RECOVERED\n\n AT TWO RECENT KIMBERLITE TARGETS IN FINLAND\n\n\n • Micro-Diamond Found In Glacial Sediments At Target 295\n\n\n • Target 295 Kimberlite Source May Be Significantly Diamondiferous\n\n\n • Total 27 Micro-Diamonds Recovered From Target 298 Kimberlite Sample\n______________________________________________________________________\n\n\nSunrise Diamonds plc ('Sunrise' or 'the Company') is pleased to announce that\nsignificant counts of micro-diamonds have been found in association with the\ntwo-kimberlite targets in the Kaavi-Kuopio region of south-central Finland\ndescribed in its October 3rd 2006 announcement.\n\n\nTarget 298\n\n\nAt the Company's 100% owned Target 298, kimberlitic material was reported in\nOctober to be abundant in glacial gravels suggesting, the Directors believe, a\nsource of significant size. A 20kg composite sample of this kimberlitic material\nhas now been processed at Kennecott Laboratories in Canada.\n\n\nTwenty-seven micro-diamonds have been recovered from this 20kg sample.\nTwenty-two of the stones were intact, mostly octohedra, and five were fragments.\nColours varied from white to brown and all are transparent with little sign of\nresorbtion. The total weight is 504,263 octacarats (1 carat =10^8 octocarats).\nThe largest stone has dimensions 0.57mm x 0.57mm x 0.31mm.\n\n\nFollow up work is now in progress to trace the source of the diamondiferous\nkimberlite material.\n\n\nTarget 295\n\n\nAt unrelated Target 295, some kilometres away, and where the Company is earning\nup to a 75% interest from owner Nordic Diamonds Ltd, a single micro-diamond has\nbeen recovered during processing of a sample of surface glacial sediments. This\nis one of a number of samples being processed in order to trace the source of\nkimberlite fragments found in October.\n\n\nThis result corroborates the mineral chemistry from both the kimberlite\nfragments and the glacial sediments and suggests, the Directors believe, that\nthe source kimberlite may be significantly diamondiferous.\n\n\nThe distribution and character of the kimberlite fragments suggest a local\nsource. Further sediment sampling is in progress and geophysics is planned to\ndelineate bedrock targets for drill testing.\n\n\nLampi\n\n\nTh...
