Sun Life and\n \n Quebec City\n \n are contributing\n \n $75,000\n \n and\n \n $25,000\n \n , respectively.\n \n \n Managed by the Youth in Mind Foundation, the Fund will support agencies with mental health missions that complement the Foundation's activities:\n \n \n \n Treatment: improving health care access for vulnerable teens in the Capitale-Nationale region\n \n \n Screening: detecting early warning signs in high schools in\n \n Quebec City\n \n \n \n Raising awareness: delivering Youth in Mind Foundation's\n \n Mental Health Basics\n \n and\n \n Partners for life\n \n programs free of charge in\n \n Quebec City\n \n high schools\n \n \n \n Over the next three years, the Fund will provide outreach and support to more than 7,000 young people.\n \n \n \"When it comes to the mental health of our teenagers, we have a collective responsibility to take concrete action,\" said\n \n Quebec City\n \n Mayor\n \n Bruno Marchand\n \n . Psychological distress is the number one factor in school dropout rates, and 50 per cent of mental health problems begin before the age of 14.
