[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 8107R STV Group PLC 31 October 2013 \n \n\n \n \nPRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE\n \n \nSTV Productions, TV3 Studios and GroupM Entertainment commissioned to make brand new quiz show\n \n \n31st October 2013\n \nSTV Productions, TV3 Studios and GroupM Entertainment are to co-produce a brand new quiz show, The Lie, to be broadcast on STV and TV3.\n \nThe 16 x 30\" episodes (ten for TV3 and six for STV) will air in 2014 with studio filming starting this December in TV3's brand new Sony HD studio in Dublin. \n \nThe Lie, a new format from STV Productions and TV3 Studios, from an original concept by Grant Keen, is a general knowledge quiz with a difference - there are no questions. Instead, two teams of contestants will compete to win a cash prize by identifying the one lie from a set of otherwise true statements.\n \nComedian Susan Calman will host the Scottish version of the programme with the host of the Irish version to be announced in the coming weeks. \n \nThe series will be Executive Produced by Gary Chippington for STV Productions, Andrew Byrne for TV3 Studios and Abigail Adams and Richard Foster for GroupM Entertainment.\n \nAlan Clements, Director of Content for STV Productions, said: \"It is fantastic to be bringing this new format to peak time audiences on STV and TV3. This is the first opportunity we have had to work with TV3 and we are looking forward to filming starting in Ireland before the end of the year. This commission further strengthens STV Productions' credentials in the entertainment genre, which currently include commissions for Catchphrase for ITV and Fake Reaction for ITV2.\" \n \nJeff Ford, TV3 Group Director of Content, said: \"This is TV3 Studios first co-production and first venture into big shiny floor studio quiz shows.
