[{"type":"text","content":"\n SMG PLC\n05 March 2007\n\n\nBoard Appointments and 2006 Preliminary Results Date Change\n\nSMG plc ('SMG') announces today (5 March) that Jamie Mathieson and Lord Waheed\nAlli are to join the company's Board of Directors as Non-Executive Directors.\n\nJamie Mathieson (52) is the Executive Chairman of Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC.\nHe was previously a Non-Executive Director of Scottish Radio Holdings plc until\nits sale to EMAP plc, and is currently a Non-Executive Director of AIM VCT2 plc.\n\nLord Waheed Alli (42) is currently Chairman of Chorion Ltd and of AIM-listed\nAsos plc. He is also a Director of Olga Television Ltd. He was previously\nManaging Director of Planet 24 Productions Ltd and Managing Director of Carlton \nTelevision Productions Ltd.\n\nFollowing the Board changes announced last week and today, the Board has\ndecided to postpone the announcement of SMG's preliminary results for 2006 to\n12 April in order to provide sufficient opportunity for it to review the Group's \nstrategy and future options.
