(TSX:STE) today announced that\nthe Thirtieth Report of the Monitor in the matter of the Company's \nCourt-supervised restructuring was filed today. The full text of the Report\ncan be accessed through a link available on Stelco's Web site.\nMost of the Report provides background to, and an update on, the proposal\nfor a mediation process as first outlined in the Monitor's 29th Report. The\nMonitor reports that it has consulted with representatives of various\nstakeholder groups regarding the concept of a mediation and the appointment of\nthe Hon. George Adams as the mediator.\nThe Report states that the Hon. George Adams has indicated his\nwillingness to serve as mediator. The Monitor adds that, should he be\nappointed mediator, Mr. Adams would be available to begin meeting with\nstakeholders regarding the process during the week of May 23, 2005.
