[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n3.5G Network Delivers Wireless Broadband to both Handsets and Laptops \n\nSEOUL, May 28 /CNW/ - SK Telecom, South Korea's largest mobile operator,\nhas launched the world's first handset-based next-generation HSDPA network in\ncities across southern Korea using wireless broadband technology from \nLG-Nortel, a joint venture of LG Electronics and Nortel(x) (NYSE/TSX: NT).\nSK Telecom's network is the first to provide HSDPA performance on\nhandsets as well as data cards - ensuring high-speed, broadband wireless\nservices are available to subscribers using either a handset or laptop\ncomputer. The services include high definition video-on-demand, MP3 streaming,\nmulti-user mobile gaming, video calling, multimedia messaging and a host of\nother high bandwidth services. SK Telecom's service is branded \"3G+\" and will\ninitially cover 25 cities across the country, with roll out to an additional\n59 cities planned by the end of the year.\n\"The launch of our new brand \"3G+\" marks the beginning of the world's\nfirst handset-based HSDPA service.
