(TSX: SNA-V)\n("Star" or the "Company"), learned today that the U.S. Patent Office has\ngranted Star's request to reconsider the patentability of AeroMechanical\nServices Ltd.'s (TSX: AMA-V) ("AMA") U.S. patent, U.S. 7,203,630. (See Star\nPress Release dated September 6, 2007).\n\n\nThe reexamination of AMA's patent was requested and granted by the USPTO\nbased on Star's exclusively licensed U.S. Patent No. 7,113,852 (the "Kapadia\nPatent"), issued in the name of the inventors, including Viraf Kapadia, Star's\nChairman and Co-CEO. Star has also sued AMA for patent infringement related to\nthat patent in a recently filed lawsuit in the Northern District of\nCalifornia.\n\n\nIn ordering the reexamination of AMA's patent, the U.S. Patent Office\nrecognized that the relevant merits and teachings of the Kapadia patent were\nnot considered when the U.S. Patent Office issued AMA's patent.
