Directorate and Group Management Team Changes
Standard Chartered PLC announced significant changes to its board and group management team, appointing Manus Costello as Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval, with immediate effect as interim GCFO. Costello, who joined in April 2024 and holds 8,216 shares, will receive a base salary of £1,100,000 per annum and a pension allowance of £110,000. [{"type":"text","content":"\n\n18 May 2026\nSTANDARD CHARTERED PLC\nANNOUNCES CHANGES TO ITS BOARD AND GROUP MANAGEMENT TEAM\nStandard Chartered PLC (the \"Company\") today announces that Manus Costello (50) will be appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer (\"GCFO\") and join the Board as an Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval. He will become interim GCFO with immediate effect. Manus will be based in London and report directly to Group Chief Executive, Bill Winters. As GCFO, he will also become a member of the Group Management Team.\nManus takes up his new role after joining the Company in April 2024 as Global Head of Investor Relations. Prior to that, Manus had 25 years of experience in equity research, including as a founding partner and Global Head of Research at Autonomous.\nCommenting on the appointment, Bill Winters, said: \"I am delighted that Manus has agreed to take on the role of Group Chief Financial Officer.
