[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC \n\n TETRA TECHNOLOGY LICENCE AGREEMENT \n\nThe Directors of Software Radio Technology plc (\"SRT\") are pleased to announce\nthat SRT has signed a TETRA technology licence agreement with an established\nOEM manufacturer of professional mobile radio products in Taiwan.\n\nThe customer will use SRT's reference design to create a TETRA handset which is\nexpected to be launched into the market in late 2006. SRT will be paid a\nlicence and product development support fee, which is payable in stages against\nmilestones during the development of the customer's handset, plus a royalty on\nevery unit manufactured in accordance with its standard business model. The\ncontract is mutually exclusive in respect of Taiwan and is intended to form the\nbasis of a long term partnership.\n\nSimon Tucker, SRT's Commercial Director said:\n\n\"This agreement is an important development for SRT. The key to success for our\nTETRA business is for our customers to supply as large a proportion of the end\nuser market as possible, thereby generating substantial royalties for SRT.\nEntering into an agreement with an OEM manufacturer enables SRT to reap the\nbenefit of the established sales channels of the OEM's customers, who will be\naddressing the market with their established brands.
