The FCC has further\nadvised SRT that there is an approval waiver process which can be applied for\nin the short term which may enable the AIS Class B technology to be sold in the\nUSA prior to full FCC approval being granted. SRT intends to pursue this route.\n\nThe Company remains confident that full FCC approval will be granted in due\ncourse and understands that the matters now under consideration relate to the\nFCC's rules governing the deployment of significant numbers of AIS Class B\nunits.\n\nSimon Tucker, SRT's Managing Director, said: \"The granting of the approval\nearlier this week was well ahead of our expectations and it is naturally\ndisappointing that this was due to an error. We are taking the necessary steps\nto apply for the waiver from the FCC and anticipate gaining full FCC approval\nwithin our original timescales.\"\n\nEnquiries: \n \nSoftware Radio Technology plc 01761 409500\nSimon Tucker [email protected]\nManaging Director \n \nHanson Westhouse Limited 0113 246 2610\nTim Feather \n \nCityRoad Communications 07947 186694\nPaul Quade \n\nAbout SRT:\n\nFounded in 1987 and quoted on AIM in 2005, SRT focuses on the development of\nturnkey technology product solutions for homeland security applications.
