[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC \n\nAGREEMENTS SIGNED FOR AIS CLASS B AND TETRA BASE STATION\n\nThe Directors of Software Radio Technology plc (\"SRT\") are pleased to announce\nthat SRT has signed two contracts, one for the supply of its AIS Class B\ntechnology and the second to enable SRT to offer its customers TETRA\ninfrastructure equipment in addition to handsets.\n\nAIS Class B\n\nFollowing the announcement of the signing of heads of terms on 15 December\n2005, SRT has entered into an agreement with Comar Systems Limited, a UK-based\nmanufacturer of AIS products.\n\nUnder the agreement, SRT's technology will provide the basis for Comar's AIS\nClass B products, which are expected to be launched later this year. Comar\nsells its products through a network of distributors and dealers and for use in\nnational level projects.\n\nTETRA\n\nSRT has also signed an agreement with Artevea Digital Limited, a UK-based\ndeveloper and supplier of TETRA base stations. SRT and Artevea have agreed to\ncollaborate to enable Artevea to supply its base station designs to SRT's TETRA\nhandset customers to enable them to develop localised TETRA infrastructure.\n\nSimon Tucker, SRT's Commercial Director, said\n\n\"We have had an excellent response to the launch of our AIS Class B technology,\nconfirming our belief that the market will be substantial. Our technology will\nenable multiple manufacturers to offer competitively priced products into the\nmarket with SRT benefiting through royalties on every product sold.\n\n\"The agreement with Artevea allows SRT to offer TETRA infrastructure equipment\nto our existing and future TETRA handset customer base. We believe there is\nstrong demand within our TETRA customer base for the ability to supply\ninfrastructure equipment as well as handsets.
