[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC \n\n Marine AIS Class B Distributor Agreements \n\nThe Directors of Software Radio Technology plc (\"SRT\") are pleased to announce\nthat SRT has signed three Marine AIS distributor agreements.\n\nSRT's strategy in AIS is to be the provider of the industry standard technology\nplatform for all AIS products. Critical to this strategy is the signing of\nlocal distributors who have established contacts with local buyers and\nauthorities and are therefore able to establish preferential access to these\nmarkets.\n\nSRT has signed distribution contracts with the following companies:\n\nSevenstar Electronics - a UK based company which will use SRT's technology to\ncreate its own AIS Class B product. SRT will receive an initial fee of\nUS$50,000 plus ongoing royalties on each product sold.\n\nCSI - a South Korean based company, which has already installed the national\nKorean AIS network and is now seeking to supply the domestic Korean market, for\nwhich AIS Class B is currently being mandated.\n\nAtlas Communications - a UAE based company which specialises in the\ninstallation and operation of communication networks in the Middle East. Atlas\nwill be seeking to incorporate AIS Class B into the AIS systems which are now\nbeing supplied.\n\nSimon Tucker, SRT's Commercial Director said: \"AIS is becoming the coastal\nsurveillance system of choice for authorities and we are leveraging our clear\ncompetitive advantage in the AIS market to cherry pick the best distributors\nworldwide to ensure we maximise our share of the market.
