SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC Turkish AIS mandate results in new partnership agreement for SRT The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") are pleased to announce that SRT Marine Technology Limited ("SRT Marine") has signed a partnership agreement with Turkish company, iDeal Teknoloji, for the launch of an AIS Class B transceiver into the Turkish market. Earlier this year the Turkish authorities announced plans for a national mandate requiring more than 10,000 vessels to be fitted with a localised AIS Class B transceiver over the next two years. This mandate will enable the Turkish authorities to locate and identify all coastal maritime traffic accurately thereby improving safety and security. The mandate requires some additional features to be implemented on the AIS platform and SRT Marine has partnered with the leading local marine electronics manufacturer iDeal Teknoloji to provide a fully compliant product for the market.
