(TSX:SII) ("Sprott") today announced\nthat the previously disclosed internal reorganization of its wholly-owned\nsubsidiary Sprott Asset Management Inc. ("SAM") has been completed. The\nreorganization separates SAM's operations into three distinct business lines:\ndiscretionary portfolio management by Sprott Asset Management LP ("SAM LP"),\nbroker-dealer services by Sprott Private Wealth LP ("SPW"), and consulting\nservices by Sprott Consulting LP ("SCLP").\n\n\nThis reorganization provides the opportunity to separately brand and\nmarket the three areas of Sprott's operations and is also anticipated to\nresult in certain tax efficiencies for Sprott. SPW will continue as an\ninvestment dealer and member of the Investment Industry Regulatory\nOrganization of Canada while SAM LP is an investment counsel/portfolio manager\nor equivalent in each of the provinces of Canada and will continue to manage\nthe portfolios of the Sprott Funds and managed accounts.
