[{"type":"text","content":"Shawn Mechelke Joins Spire Global as General Manager of Weather & Climate\n\n\n .bwalignc { text-align: center; list-style-position: inside }\n \n\n\n\n\n Weather and aviation technology leader to drive growth and innovation across Spire’s global weather business\n \n\n\n\n\n\n Spire Global, Inc.\n \n (NYSE: SPIR) (“Spire” or “the Company”), a global provider of space-based data, analytics and space services, has appointed Shawn Mechelke as its new General Manager of Weather & Climate, effective November 17, 2025.\n \n\n Mechelke will lead the go-to-market and sales strategy, product roadmap, and global delivery of Spire’s weather and climate solutions, overseeing the Weather & Climate team including meteorologists and data scientists.\n \n\n “Shawn shares Spire’s vision to harness space-based data to solve problems on Earth,” said Celia Pelaz, Chief Operating Officer at Spire. “His decades of experience growing and delivering mission-critical aviation and weather technologies, along with his leadership in data-driven innovation, will be essential as we expand the reach and impact of our Weather & Climate solutions.”\n \n\n Mechelke brings more than 30 years of experience driving software, data, and operational growth across the aviation and weather sectors.
